For those of us around in the 70s the thing we remember most is the music. There are songs that we thought we had forgotten, as soon as you hear a riff they come flooding back……..
The 70s produced a smorgasbord of hits and artists, a culture reflected in the fashion and music; it was bold, creative, loud, confident and vibrant.
So the opportunity to be transported back to the 70s for just a couple of hours was too irresistible to ignore. Here we found ourselves kicking loose with a crowd of mixed age revellers, complete with mood lighting and mirrorball who didn’t care what they looked like. We ignored the risk of pulling a hamstring, out of breath or worse, having a heart attack on the dance floor!
Tasmanian songstress Ange Boxall pulled together one of the best bands in Australia with the rhythmic mastery of Pete (Lucky) Luscombe (Paul Kelly, Black Sorrows, Rockwiz), Ashley Naylor on Vocals and Guitar (Evan, Paul Kelly, Rockwiz), Clio Renner on Keys (Angus & Julia Stone, Tim Rogers, Rockwiz) and Bill McDonald on Bass (Paul Kelly, Frente, Rebecca’s Empire). With Ange Boxall on Vocals, and special guest appearance by one Mark Holden.
